Playing at the Home of THE PLAYERS

Our friends at Fairways To Heaven Golf Travel recently ran a fun, 2-player team tournament for 24 of their guests at TPC Sawgrass, and they asked if we could document the day. Of course, we jumped at the chance. We here at EGM always get excited when we're asked to provide photography and video services on a course we've never shot before. We always want things to go perfect and ensure the clients have the best possible experience, so it can be nervy too, like standing over a 4 foot, left to right knee knocker.

The Stadium Course is not your typical Florida golf course. Yes, there is plenty of water and relatively flat terrain across the property, but Pete Dye was a master at extracting the most from the land, creating 18 unique holes, and each stand out in their right. Of course, the drama of 16, 17 and 18 never fails to thrill, where many rounds are made or destroyed on these three holes, both for amateurs and the pros when the Players Championship comes to town each March.

As the host venue for golf's "5th Major", Sawgrass is certainly in the conversation for bucket list courses in America, so a day this special required a special photographer. We were thrilled that EGM photographer Alex Quijano was able to lend his considerable talent to the day. Alex has an extensive portfolio, including photographing 2 former US presidents and several PGA tour players. Confident the memories of their round were in good hands, the golfers could relax, focus on the round and have fun!
