Enniscrone Golf Club is a relatively new course, built in 1972 by Eddie Hackett, a prolific Irish golf architect who preferred to follow the contours of a given piece of land, rather than move tons of earth. Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland is a 1929 Harry Colt links that hosted the Open Championship this year, the first time they have done so since 1951.
